How to make a track

Pick a sound
Choose a genre and a preset, then turn the knobs. Most you hear at once; the ones with an orange dot change on the next bar.

Press play
Every trade is a note. BUY adds a hit, SELL takes one away, WHALE fills or wipes a whole row.

Auto market or manual
AUTO MARKET: the market trades by itself and the track builds up and breaks down on its own. MANUAL MODE: nothing changes unless you do it.

Bring the parts in
The part buttons, or keys 1–8, turn the kick, snare, hats and the rest on and off, on the next bar. BLANK turns everything off so you can start from silence.

Record
REC starts on the next bar and keeps everything you do for up to 64 bars, about two minutes: parts, knobs, trades. PLAY TAKE plays it back.

Keep it or send it
SHARE gives a link that plays your track. DOWNLOAD WAV saves the audio. SEND FOR REVIEW sends your sound to the IDM team: we listen to every one, and a good one can join a station. Leave your handle so we can credit you.
